Every print and album offered at Melissa Klein Photography is made with longevity in mind.  I want my clients to enjoy their images for many years, and eventually hand them down to their children and their children’s children.  Preservation of family history.  Please scroll down to learn more about some of our favorite products.

Heirloom albums are the perfect way to enjoy your images when wall space is limited.  They are custom designed and can include all images from a single session.  Premium European linen, Japanese silk and photo cover options are available with thick, lay flat pages.

The finest natural cotton Hahnemuhle papers presented in a beautiful custom cut white mat, ready to be framed.  These are not your traditional prints.  These are museum quality prints, and their color and sharpness cannot be matched.  The paper and inks used with these prints are meant to last for 100 years or more.  They are not mass produced with a machine.  They are individually printed, allowed to dry, and hand inspected for accuracy.  They are then sprayed for protection against UV rays, dust, fingerprints, and moisture.  The archival white mats help protect the print from oils on your fingers, and also prevents the print from touching and potentially sticking to the glass when framed.

Framing is the optimal way to display and protect your print.  I work with a local framer who uses a process called Conservation Framing, which employs the use of framing materials that have been proven to preserve, protect and maintain art in as close to its original condition as possible.  This includes using UV protective glass,  acid-free and lignin-free conservation quality mat board, proper conservation mounting methods, acid-free foam core backing board, and an acid-free dust cover.  What does this mean to you?  Simply put, your prints will look fantastic, the mat won’t eat away at your print or turn yellow over time, and you will have a beautiful, finished piece of art that comes ready to hang.

I typically use black, white, or cherry wood Italian-made frames, along with glare-resistant glass.  However, there are literally hundreds of frames to choose from, and I will work with you to find the style that best suits your home, cabin, office, or anywhere else you wish to display your art.
