Meet Morgan. I photographed her newborn session back in December, and am finally getting a chance to get some photos up on the blog. I usually post photos on facebook first (because it’s easier – LOL!), so you might have seen some of these already but I thought I’d post them here, too. When mom contacted me and said that Morgan was already almost 5 weeks old, I told her that I wasn’t sure if we’d be able to get any sleepy baby shots, but man, did this little girl prove me wrong. She was born 5 weeks early, so her session was right around her actual due date – she really was just like a newborn still. She slept fantastic! We were able to get a lot of sleepy shots and some awake ones, too. She did awesome through it all.

So, I stayed up late two nights in a row working on what was going to be the most awesome Christmas card in the history of Christmas cards. Beautiful, ornate, 5×10 with a pearl finish. Yep, it was going to be gorgeous. Then I realized that Christmas is only a week away, and these things don’t even come with envelopes. By the time I actually got them out Christmas would be long over and my clients would all think I’m crazy. *sigh* I think next year I’ll start working on these in, say, August? I’m horrible with getting out Christmas cards on time (but I am going to do my Christmas shopping today!). Rather than let this awesome card go to waste, I thought I’d at least post it here for you guys to see. Merry Christmas, everyone, and have a great 2012!

Just wanted to post a couple of quick photos from Amilia’s newborn session before I head out the door. There were SO many cute ones (always seems to be the case…), but these are a couple of my favorites so far. I’m sure there will be more later, but here are a couple for now. Enjoy!

Just finishing up the editing on Micah’s newborn session and wanted to post some of photos of this cutie. I am pretty sure he is the best sleeper I’ve ever had – he was passed out hard core almost our entire session. And those lips! I’ve never seen such squishy lips – so stinkin’ cute!

Grab yourself a drink and some popcorn – this is going to be a long post. I met Angela and Justin in August 2010 when they contacted me about doing maternity photos. I had never done a maternity session before at that point, so I was pretty excited to try something new. Angela was stunning, and these are still some of my favorite maternity photos. Fast forward a month later and Harrison was born – one of the cutest little guys you’ll ever meet! I still remember his newborn session very well – he was happy, but that boy did NOT want to sleep. Justin went out and got us some dinner (since we seemed to be in this for the long haul), and Harrison decided to pass out as we were taking a break. Once he fell asleep he was OUT. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had another baby sleep quite as soundly as he did. He turned into a squishy little ball of sleepy baby and we were able to get some awesome photos!

Next time I saw Harrison he was 6 months. Sitting up and all smiles. You’ve probably seen photos from his 6 month session posted all over my website because he was just so happy and full of great expressions – I had a lot of favorites. Fast forward another 6 months and I was taking Harrison’s 1 year photos already! He was on the move, and checking everything out. Still cute as ever, and his mom has THE best taste in clothes for him – I just love his outfits! Another awesome session, and hopefully there will be more to come in the future. I’ve had a great time working with you guys and watching Harrison grow up throughout the year. He just keeps getting cuter and cuter!

Just finishing up with the editing on this guys session, and I had to post a few.   I don’t know why, but I always get the babies with the rock-star hair.  Isaiah is no exception.  He may not have had the most hair, but I just love how wild it is!  You can’t tell in these photos, but he has the most beautiful eyes, too.  Might have to post some of those later, but here are a few sleepy ones for now.  And if you’ve followed my blog for very long, you can probably tell by now that I can’t get by without posting a macro shot and at least one black and white shot when it comes to newborns.  Didn’t want to disappoint.  :)

Just posting a couple quick photos from Grant’s newborn session. He was 2 weeks old when we did his session, and he rocked it! We got a lot of awake shots, but eventually he passed out and we were able to get some sleepy shots, too. Just finishing up his gallery, so I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of him soon.

I photographed Mia around this same time last year, and this year she had a brand new little sister to bring with! Little sister Lauren is 2 months old, but we were still able to get a few sleepy photos along with some of her beautiful eyes. Just a few photos for now – I’m sure there will be more to come later when I finish up their gallery. Enjoy!
