To say I’ve been swamped would be an understatement. But, I’m just finishing up this session and couldn’t resist posting one! Once I get caught up with editing, I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of these two (and probably a whole slew of other blog posts that I need to get caught up on).

Advanced warning – this might get to be another long post. I’ve been taking Arybella’s photos since she was 3 months old. She just finished up with her one year session, and we ended up doing a cake smash along with it. I LOVE doing cake smashes at one year! You just never know what you’re going to get. She didn’t want too much to do with the cake (although she did seem to like the frosting!), but it was still a lot of fun. I’m posting a few favorites from each of her sessions below (3, 6, 9 months and 1 year). You can see how much she’s changed in just a short 9 month time span. The one thing that didn’t change is the serious look she gave me every time I got the camera out – LOL!

I met Natalie and her parents back in March for Natalie’s one year session. First I have to say that I absolutely LOVE the outfit that they chose for her! White or cream colored dresses on baby girls are so beautiful. They look great in color and black and white, and just have such a timeless feel to them. And it looked adorable with her red hair. I wasn’t sure if Natalie was totally up for photos, but we ended up getting some great smiles out of her. Even her serious looks were cute – I don’t think this girl could take a bad photo.

Meet my newest cousin, Jill! Six months is one of my favorite ages, so when Jon and Jen asked me if I’d take some photos of her, I couldn’t resist. It’s so much fun to have another baby in the family. I just love her chubby cheeks and her big blue eyes. This was just a quick session – hoping I can borrow her and take some more in the future.
Brynn was back in March for her third session – she’s getting to be quite the little model! She’s eight months old now, and she’s a mover! I’m pretty sure we’re going to have an early walker on our hands here – she was all over the place. The funniest part – she didn’t want to touch the plexiglass I had down, so she started walking on all fours. It was hysterical! I’m not sure if I’ve seen a baby do that before. Between that and her trying to make lunch out of the pearls, I could not stop laughing. She is adorable! Here are just a few from her session – Enjoy! Oh, and a disclaimer – the pearls do get washed after each session since they seem to be such a big hit with the little ones, and they are the kind with the knots between each pearl, so there will be no choking on the pearls should they ever fall apart. I’m not sure why I felt like I needed to explain that, but there you go. Saftey first.

Eero…I just love this little guy. I’ve known his mom for a long time, but hadn’t seen E since he was a newborn. And let me tell you, this kid can NOT take a bad picture! Ever single photo was just the cutest thing ever. He should be a model. Seriously. Better get on that, mama…
Warning: large over-sharing of pictures ahead. Claire just finished up her 1 year session. She’s one of my first year baby planners, so I’m sure you’ve seen lots of her over this past year, but incase you missed any, see the recap below. She is SUCH a happy baby. Even in her newborn photos I was getting some grins. I love her crazy hair (although it has tamed down a ton) and her big, happy smiles. It’s been so much fun to watch her grow up over this past year!

Grant was in for his 3/4 month session a few weeks back, and I wanted to try out some natural light shots. Perfect time to bust out a down blanket and some pillows that I had been wanting to use for a session. I love how they turned out! Grant’s newborn photos can be seen here – I couldn’t believe how much he had changed since the last time I saw him! We even caught him on camera rolling over for the first time – so sweet! Can’t wait to see what he’s up to at his next session.
I’ve been friends with Natalie’s awesome mom for a long time, and have been taking Nat’s pictures since she was just a newbie. Now here she is, 2 years old already and full of energy. She wasn’t too interested in having her photos taken (what two year old is?), so we had to improvise some.
