Digital files are great...until theu're not
Don't get me wrong, I love having a digital copy of my photos for sharing online, and I know my clients love it, too. But please, print what you love. It's a lot harder to keep a digital copy around for 20, 50 or even 100 years than it is for your favorite framed print or album. My parents have photos up on their walls that are over 80 years old - well outliving anything in the digital world. I want that for your favorite images, too. So my PSA - print what you love! Most of my clients walk away with artwork + digital files.
how we store and view digital media is always changing, but a print or album that you hold in your hands will look and feel the same 50+ years from now.
ALBUMS
Albums are a great way to enjoy a collection of photos, especially if wall space is limited.
My heirloom albums are hand-made, lay-flat albums with thick pages and archival photographic paper. They are custom designed, and start at 20 images.
Cover options include luxe European linen, luxe leather, suede and velvet.
They can include details such as copies of birth announcements and hand-written notes. All design work is custom, and I'll work with you to create something beautiful.
FRAMED PRINTS
Framed prints are true pieces of art, meant to be handed down for generations.
All of my framed prints are printed on eco-friendly natural cotton paper, which has a much longer lifespan than traditional prints.
Framed prints are matted to prevent the print from touching the glass. The matting is archival, and will not deteriorate or turn yellow over time.
Real wood is used for the frames, and the acrylic blocks 99% of UV rays from reaching your print, thus protecting it even more.
Framed prints are finished with a fully enclosed back and bee-hive hangers or a hanging wire.
FINE ART PRINTS
Fine art prints are eco-friendly and printed on natural cotton paper. They are what you would find in any museum print, and have a much longer lifespan than a traditional lustre or glossy print.
Fine art prints can be matted to protect fingers from touching the print. They are also available with hand-torn edging that can be included with or without matting.
WALL GALLERIES
Do you want to have multiple photos framed on a wall together? Maybe some from different sessions, or maybe even a mix of professionally framed images and your own personal images? I love working with clients to design the perfect wall gallery, and can even show you a mock-up of what different sizes and frames will look like on your own walls.
DIGITAL FILES
Digital files are available to purchase after each session. Any digital files purchased will be delivered with a link to download them to your computer or phone.
The full digital collection (which most clients purchase or earn with artwork purchases) includes a complimentary set of 4x6 prints in a glass or linen box. Should your hard drive ever die, or "the cloud" become non-existant while technology changes, these prints will serve as the ultimate backup of your images.
