I’ve known Charlotte (aka Charley’s) mom and dad for many years. We’ve been friends since high school (her dad and my husband graduated together), and I won’t say how long ago that was, but there is a reunion coming up this year. I was SO excited when we heard they were expecting, and even more excited when they were looking for a Monticello newborn photographer and asked if I would be able to photograph her newborn portraits. It had been a while since I had a newborn girl in the studio (lots of boys at that time), so I was beyond thrilled to photograph this little peanut.
For newborn sessions, I don’t use a lot of large headbands or bows the size of baby’s head. I like to keep things simple, dainty, and have the focus be on this new little life. For Charley’s newborn session, we used some simple wraps, some small headbands, and kept the focus on this adorable baby girl. Charley was such a great sleeper, and pretty much went along with whatever I wanted to do, as long as she was wrapped up and warm. It was probably one of the quickest, sleepiest newborn sessions I’ve ever had, but she opened her eyes for a bit at the end for some awake photos. Easiest baby ever. :)
wow…these are gorgeous <3 and I love all of the textures you use :0)
