I’ve been photographing this family since their youngest was a newborn (7+ years ago!) and they were looking for a Minnesota family photographer. Amazing how fast these kids grow, and how time flies. Seriously – time goes by way too fast. These photos are actually from their 2017 session and I’m just getting around to blogging them now. :) I will eventually post our 2018 family session (hopefully before their 2019 session that they already booked).
This session was photographed in late October, and there was already some snow on the ground. We weren’t sure if it would be too cold, but it worked out perfect. The snow made for some beautiful outdoor photos, and their outfits perfectly complimented the red and brown tones of the wooded areas. Side note – my fall is always jam packed with families wanting gorgeous fall colors, but THIS, this is what I love. After the leaves have fallen and the bright greens have faded to yellow – that’s my favorite time of year to photograph sessions (as long as it doesn’t get too cold out by then!). Also, when you can have a snowball fight and build a snowman during your session, it’s bound to be a good time.
