This was one of the last sessions at my old St. Paul studio space (yes….still catching up on blogging as always). As a Blaine baby photographer, I always love it when clients come to me for these important milestones. I photographed Brielle’s newborn photos, her 6 months photos, her one year photos, and since then I’ve also done some family sessions (and photographed her little brother’s newborn, 6 months and 1 year photos). Wow – typing that out just shows how behind I am with blogging sessions, but I really do plan on getting caught up eventually.
Brielle’s one year cake smash session was one of my favorites. A custom baker did a fantastic job on this beautiful three-tiered naked cake, and I brought along some fresh baby’s breath flowers for a bit of a feminine touch. We made sure to get some “before” photos, and then we let her have at it. She is one of the few babies who absolutely LOVED her cake! She was all smiles and really had a great time with it. We also did some more typical one year portraits before the cake smash. Her mom always has the BEST outfits that she brings along, so we had to make sure to get some photos with them before making a mess with the cake.
