I was originally contacted by this family about 5 years ago for extended family photos in studio. At the time, my studio was in Saint Paul and I had a great time getting to know Terri and her family. She had a specific spot in mind for a family photo, and we worked together with a local framer to make that happen (photos from their original session can be seen here).
I had so much fun photographing them the first time, and when Terri contacted me again 4 years later for an updated photo I was excited for the chance to photograph them all again. Their extended family had grown from 13 to 15, and she wanted an updated photo for the beautiful frame she got last time. Side note – if you love a frame you have, a professional framer can definitely switch out photos for you).
The entire family came to my Lino Lakes studio this time for a morning session. I had some breakfast snacks and drinks out since I knew there would be some downtime between photographing families, and that was a big hit. I loved meeting their newest family members, and I’m so happy that we were able to make this happen again.
For extended family photos in studio, I photograph each family individually, as well as a large group photo, plus grandparent photos and any other requested groupings. I talked with Terri ahead of time to plan out all the different groupings, which was really helpful and made the morning run smoothly.
