I met up with Jack back in October for his outdoor senior photo session. The weather had rain and possibly snow in the forecast, but we decided to take a chance and go ahead with the session as scheduled. When we first started, the weather was great. A little overcast, but nothing major. Jack is a very outdoorsy kind of guy, and one of his favorite things to do is bow hunting. He brought along his bow for a few photos, and I love how they turned out! When we started taking photos in his second outfit, it started to rain lightly. No big deal. We kept on with our session and it was fine. Then it started raining a little bit harder. By that point, my gear was getting pretty wet. Jack was the third senior guy in a row that I had that was over 6 feet tall (6’4 to be exact). I had to bring a stool with for his session so I could shoot at eye level, but that was getting wet, too. My balance is not the best on a regular day, but add a little rain in the mix and…well, let’s just say it was pretty comical. Jack was a trooper, though, and we kept shooting. When we drove to the second spot we wanted to take photos at, it was still drizzling. Right when we started shooting, the drizzle turned to hail. I have to say, THAT was a first for me! We called it at that point and decided to end the session. After cloning hail and rain out of some of the photos, we ended up with a lot of really nice ones. The expression on his face in the last one cracks me up. It was right about that point that we knew we were done. :)
These are great! I love the variety and the way you captured his personality and interests. Awesome job!
Great variety. You’ve really captured his personality so well. Rain certainly didn’t ruin this session… love the rain shot!
