This was such a unique collaboration for a session. I have a friend in Texas who has knows this family for a long time, and she recommended me to them for their photos in Minnesota. Because of that referral, I was contacted when they needed a Minnetonka family photographer for a large extended family session. This was to be a gift for their grandparents 70th anniversary, as well as grandpa’s 90th birthday. The part that makes it unique is that their extended family is scattered throughout the country – Minnesota, Texas and California. They hired different photographers in all three states to take similar photos of each family, coordinating outfits and locations from afar, and at the end hired Ramsey Engler LTD to create one large wall gallery from all of the separate photos.
I photographed the six families that were in Minnesota, but for the sake of not making this blog post TOO long, I’m only sharing two of them here. These kids were great to photograph – so full of energy and smiles. We had a perfect little spot in Minnetonka where we could photograph their session early enough in the evening that they wouldn’t be tired or hungry, and we still had amazing light.
