As one of several Minneapolis studio maternity photographers, I am always honored when an expecting mama chooses me to document this special time for her. I still remember the day I received Courtney’s email – it totally made my day.
“I’m looking to book a maternity session. I am absolutely blown away by your ability to capture the beauty of maternity. Your work is truly art. In my research, I have not seen any other MSP photographer produce such light, natural and effortlessly gorgeous photos”.
Want to know what? I have that email printed out and still look at it when I’m feeling meh about my work. I absolutely love what I do, and I love showing moms just how beautiful they are, even when they might not feel at their best.
Courtney’s maternity session was one of my favorites, and can be seen HERE. When I needed a model to see how this skirt from Mr. Pretty Skirt photographed, I didn’t hesitate to reach out to her and see if she’d be willing to come back to my studio for a few photos. She was so excited, and brought her daughter along for some motherhood photos. These types of sessions fill my creative heart. I get to try new things (like this sheer curtain backdrop I created), and just have fun it. Here are some of my favorites from our session.
