7 months – Elk River baby photographer

I photographed Carson and his mom when Carson was just shy of 7 months old.  His mom won an auction for a session and print through Achieve Services, and I’m so happy she chose to use it for a motherhood and milestone session when she was looking for an Elk River baby photographer.  I have donated to Achieve’s Spring Gala event every year for the last several years, and I am so happy to be able to help contribute to such a great organization (you can read about their mission here).  Carson and his mom made the trip from Elk River for their session, which is a little bit of a drive.  I have so many clients who come from quite a ways away (recently one that was 3.5 hours away!) and I am so grateful that they will travel from their side of the cities to me.

Carson was a ham from the very beginning.  With his big grey eyes and perfect hair (seriously – some of the best hair I’ve ever seen on a baby), he was an absolute doll.  He was teething a bit, so smiles were hard to come by towards the end.  He wanted to chew on everything, but we were able to get him in a happy mood by playing the “Baby Shark” song (I have yet to find a baby who doesn’t love that song).  It’s such a hit that I ended up buying two stuffed shark toys that sing the song when you squish them – no more finding it on my phone when needed!  Mom borrowed a dress from my studio wardrobe collection, and it looked absolutely beautiful on her.
