I had the pleasure of photographing Nova’s newborn session when her family was looking into White Bear Lake baby photography and came across my website. They mentioned to me how their home is decorated with photos from her older sister’s newborn and baby photo sessions, and they wanted to have some similar photos of Nova for their walls. I always love hearing that, and I was so happy when they contacted me to come back in for her one year portraits. It’s always amazing to see how much babies change in one short year. Nova is now crawling, standing up on her own, and even has a mouth full of teeth! She also has some of the most amazing eyes I’ve ever photographed – they absolutely sparkle, especially in the black and white photos.
Nova’s outfits came from our studio wardrobe (some of white can be seen here) and her family’s outfits complimented them perfectly. Her big sister had a great time going through our studio wardrobe while we were busy taking baby photos, and it made for one of my favorite family photos ever (see below). This girl has personality, and I absolutely love it. Their whole family is amazing. They ended up ordering some smaller prints for a wall collage, along with a larger eco-friendly cotton art print, professionally framed and matted using glare-free museum glass. When I delivered their order to their White Bear home, I saw all of Nova’s newborn photos up on their walls, and I can’t wait to see how these newer photos fit in. :)
Something else cool? This cutie made it into Professional Photographer magazine! They contacted me for an interview earlier this year about something fun I do for the kids after their session. Click here to see the digital version of the article.
