I met up with John (along with his parents and girlfriend) to photograph his senior photos a few months back. When his mom told me his style and what he liked (namely black t-shirts and the band White Chapel) I knew that this would be the perfect session to take some shots at one of my favorite places – First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN. We started off at my home studio for the obligatory yearbook photo, and then headed to Minneapolis for something a little more interesting. We started out at First Ave and the surrounding area. Even the parking ramp made for some nice shots! I LOVE the walls at First Ave, and think they made for an awesome backdrop. Next we headed to the Guthrie and Mill City area, and ended up watching the sunset off the endless bridge, which I’ll be honest – freaked me out a little! Not a big fan of heights here, but it was still pretty cool. Definitely one of the coolest senior sessions I’ve shot so far. :)
What a handsome young man! Such a great variety in this session….LOVE that last image and wow, that is up high!
