{The Bayer Family} | Coon Rapids MN family and children’s photography

I just love these guys. They were my first ever “clients”, way before I had ever thought about becoming a professional photographer. I’ve known Jess since our college days, and when she had her first baby, she asked me if I’d like to take some photos. Of course, I said yes. I had never photographed people before that point – just my own kids (I guess they sort of count as people), wildlife and nature. So I did a ton of reading up on newborn photography and became a bit obsessed. Fast forward four years or so, and I now run my own successful photography business and have photographed over 50 newborn sessions, and I always say that Jess is to blame. :) She’s always been super supportive, and I wouldn’t be doing any of this without a little nudge from her.

I met up with Jess and her family back in August for their outdoor family photos. Other than the killer mosquitoes, it was a really nice evening. The boys did a fantastic job, and Aidan was so sweet to his little brother. Trying to get photos of two toddlers together can sometimes be a challenge, but on this particular night, they made my job easy :)
