I photographed baby Sullivan when he was just 11 days new…back at the end of 2019 when they were looking into Blaine newborn photographers (guess who’s behind on blogging again?). This was a last minute newborn session, and I’m so glad I was able to get them in. Typically clients schedule newborn sessions with me a few months in advance, but I’m always happy to take a last minute newborn session if I can. In the last week alone I had several people contact me with babies who were already born, and one who wasn’t due until October. I always say earlier is better if possible. That way I can get your due date on my calendar and make sure to keep some dates open in the weeks surrounding your due date.
This little guy was born a little bit early, but still just over 7lbs at birth. He wasn’t very interested in sleeping for most of our session (as you can see from the first photo), but he was content. I’ll take a happy, awake baby any day – I love it when I can get some good eye contact from a newborn! He did finally fall asleep towards the end of our session, and I was able to get some cute sleepy photos to go along with the awake photos. Here are some of my favorites:
