This was my second year photographing this family (we’ve had two more sessions since this one – their first session can be seen here), and they are always so great to see. We decided to photograph their family photos at Arneson Acres in Edina. I had never been there before other than to check it out before our session, and I was so happy with it! I hear it gets really overcrowded (especially during prom season), and I can see why! There are rows of gorgeous greenery and flowers, and a beautiful fountain in the middle of it all.
We originally had to reschedule their family session twice due to rain. Third time’s a charm, right? We were supposed to have a nice day, but then it started drizzling on my drive there. No rain at all on the radar or weather app. We met there for our morning session in the light drizzle, and decided to just go for it. And I’m so happy we did! The rain lightened up a little, the fall colors were absolutely stunning, and James was full of smiles and energy.
When these photos were taken, I just found out that James was going to be a big brother! Mom was due with a baby girl that following February. I’ve photographed two more family sessions with them since she was born, and I can’t wait to share those ones, too! Here are some favorites from our family photos at Arneson Acres.
