What a year!  It was so great to get to see more people in person this year (clients, friends and family), and it really made me appreciate the time I was able to spend with everyone that much more.  I spent more days in sweatpants that I can ever remember, and I really don’t really want to go back to ever wearing jeans again…those are now reserved for “fancy” days and maaayyybe trips to target.  I learned to use my air fryer more (who hasn’t bought one of those this past year – anyone?).  I spend way too much time shopping online (but on the plus side, my client wardrobe is ridiculously over stocked with gorgeous dresses – up to well over 100 now).  I bought another new camera, new lenses, and just today some beautiful canvas backdrops that I can’t wait to use!  My only resolution for next year is to stop spending so much money…we’ll see how that goes.

This year was the best year I’ve had out of my almost 12 years in business.  I took more weekends off to be with family, but still reached my goal number of sessions each month.  I don’t ever want to shoot too many sessions that this feels like a chore.  I want to be able to give each of my clients my full attention, and I want to be able to create beautiful artwork together.  I want to have time to chat and hear about what’s new in your life.  I want to have time to continue to volunteer taking photos for Adopt a Husky MN.  I want to have time to do model calls that are fun and creative.  I had time for all of that this year, and it was amazing.

I have so many long time clients that come back to see me every year (some for over 10 years now!) – I can’t even express how much I appreciate this.  It can be a bit lonely working for yourself, and I absolutely love it when clients come in and feel like long time friends.  Some of you I catch up with at sessions.  Some I catch up with over Instagram.  No matter how we interact, I appreciate it, and I appreciate you.  Thank you!
