I’ve been photographing this family for a few years now, and when they mentioned wanting to have their family photos at Minnehaha creek this year, I was all for it! With two small children and the walking paths just minutes from their home, they have spent a lot of time here, and wanted to document this place that has been so special for their family. I can always find/suggest a beautiful spot, but I absolutely love it when clients chooses a place that is meaningful to them.
We ended up with a beautiful fall evening for their session, and the location was one of the prettiest I have ever seen! The combination of the light and the surroundings made it a magical place, and I could instantly see why they spent so much time here.
During their previous session in the fall (which can be seen here), mom was still pregnant with their youngest, so it was so great to meet their baby girl this year! She was 8 months old for this session, and totally adorable. Big brother is now 3, and was talking up a storm. He loved exploring, showing me his favorite spots, and playing with sticks. We had so much fun walking the paths and playing/exploring while taking photos.
