These are some of my favorite intimate maternity photos ever, so I figured it’s about time I do a blog post on them. Shortly after I moved to my new studio space in Lino Lakes, I did some model calls to test the lighting and angles there. Anabelle reached out after seeing my model call request, and we found a date for her to stop by my studio for a quick maternity session. She was 31 weeks along at the time of our session, which worked out perfectly for photos. (Side note – I typically suggest anywhere from 28 to 33 weeks for scheduling a maternity session. Your baby bump is usually showing by then, but you’re not at the point where you’re too uncomfortable or tired yet).
Anabelle was an absolute natural in front of the camera. Model calls are typically shorter sessions, but we had so much fun and she was so easy to work with that I ended up taking quite a few photos. We photographed a few new outfits from my studio wardrobe collection, and I just love how these all turned out. Most of these are from Free People – I’m totally obsessed with their dresses. I have way too much fun shopping for new dresses and other wardrobe items, but my clients absolutely love that I offer this, and I love making them feel beautiful in pieces I know will photograph well.
