Liz first contacted me when she was looking for a newborn photographer near Woodbury. She came in for a consultation beforehand so we could chat a bit about what she wanted for her session, as well as pick out outfits from my studio wardrobe for everyone so they would be steamed and ready to go.
Liz opted to have her hair and makeup done at the studio for the newborn session. I love it when moms decided to work with my hair and makeup artist – it’s a great way to be pampered a bit for your session, and it really does make a difference in the photos. For this session, we worked with Sarah Elizabeth Artistry, who did a fantastic job creating a beautiful, natural look for Liz.
While mom was getting hair and makeup done, I photographed baby Zoey by herself, which worked out perfectly. Big sister Adelyn did fantastic, and we did family photos once mom was all set. Baby Z didn’t want to sleep at first, but she was very content just to take it all in. Eventually she fell asleep (they always do), and I was able to get some sleeping photos and macro (close-up) photos. Here are some of my favorites from our time together:
