It’s that time of year again – when I like to look back and reflect on all the amazing clients I’ve seen this year. As a Minneapolis photographer for almost 14 years, I have seen a lot of faces come through my studio doors, and I’m so thankful that so many of you keep coming back year after year to have me photograph these important memories for you.
The most popular tangible item this year was definitely the Heirloom Album. I designed a ton of albums this year, and it makes me happy to see so many of you having these keepsakes to look back on. My 2024 goal is to take more photos of the albums before delivering them (some can be seen on my product page here). It’s hard to do that when they come wrapped so pretty, and I want to get them to you quickly.
I added several new dresses and gowns to the studio wardrobe this year, as well as lots of pieces for babies and toddlers. Most recently I purchased about 8 knit newborn sets for cozy winter babies, and I’m excited to get to use some of them soon!
Heirloom portraits were also gaining popularity this year. I didn’t get a chance to do an event for them like I did in 2022, but I had quite a few clients book specifically for these sessions, and a lot of First Year Collective members had them added on to their one year session. Heirloom portriats are extremely popular in the south, and I’m hoping to make them a thing here in the midwest.
These aren’t all of the sessions I’ve photographed this year, as quite a few of my clients choose to not have their photos posted online and I totally respect that. But this is a good summary of the year. Lots of babies and lots of maternity sessions, and I can’t wait to see a lot of you in 2024. Thanks for another amazing year!
