I originally met this crew because our kids went to school together, and mom and I volunteered together at school as well. Our kids weren’t in the same grades, but I had seen them around. When they decided they wanted some family photos with older kids, they reached out and I was so happy they did!
The day of our session was looking pretty gloomy and rainy, but we decided to go forward with it and take our chances. We moved the time up to 4pm (typically I start at 6pm this time of year), and boy did we luck out! It was overcast for their session, but not too gloomy. Right when we finished the sun came out (and it would have been TOO sunny to photograph where we were), but then 10 minutes later it started raining. This is why I can be a bit crazy with changing times as needed the day of a session if it’s gloomy out. It’s so hard to predict the weather, but I try to adjust and make things go as smoothly as possible.
The boys were so nice, and I really enjoyed photographing them. Such a fun family! Here are some of my favorites from our session.
