This handsome peanut is my nephew Rory. He’s not actually so little anymore – he’ll be turning one in October! Yes, it has taken me a while to blog these but totally worth the wait, right? I’ve also photographed him at around 4 and 7 months, so those will be posted sometime in the next year. Better late than never, right?
He was such a dream baby to work with at his newborn session. He didn’t want to sleep much at first, but once he did, he was OUT, and putty in my hands. I was able to try some different set ups and lighting with this guy, and I really love how they turned out. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you can probably see how I’ve started to incorporate more photos like this into my newborn sessions. I love the look of a baby on an all white backdrop. Same goes for a black backdrop. No props, no distractions, just the pure simplicity of a new life.
That being said, we did use some props that they brought along, because they were just too cute not to use. Plus, I’m not really sure if an outfit counts as a prop, does it? I’m going to say no on that one. We used an adorable hat they brought with to get some Christmas type images for his birth announcement/Christmas card. I love how all of these turned out, and I love this little guy. You’ll be seeing more of him in the (hopefully) not too distant future.
