Newborn photographers near Hugo – Mae Josephine

I was first contacted by this family when they were searching for newborn photographers near Hugo.  My Lino Lakes studio isn’t far from there, and I’m so happy they found me!  They had decided to book a newborn session last minute once they saw how quickly their baby was already changing.  We actually booked this session the day before we shot it!

Mae was 11 days old for her session.  Her nickname is Mazie Jo, which I thought was pretty amazing since I called my daughter Josie Mae when she was younger (short for Jocelyn Mae).  Mae was awake at first, and was watching everything I was doing.  She’d get so close to falling asleep but wouldn’t quite pass out.  She had quite the startle reflex, like a lot of babies do, but the second her dad held her, though, she feel right asleep.  After that, she pretty much curled up and posed herself, and stayed asleep for most of the session.
