I was first contacted by Michaela when she was looking for a Big Lake maternity photographer. She had seen some photos I had taken for friends of hers, and wanted professional photos to commemorate her last pregnancy.
This family was so much fun, and I can’t wait to share more from all of their sessions. For the maternity session, Michaela said that their youngest, who was two years old at the time, would be tough for photos. I was told he doesn’t smile and does’t like anyone (which honestly, can be pretty typical with toddlers, and can also change day to day it seems). I must have gotten lucky, because Harper warmed up to me pretty quick and had lots of smiles.
Both kids had fun playing in the studio during our time together. One of the first things I noticed was what gorgeous eyes this family has! I could quickly see that the kids both get that from their mom – their eyes all seem to sparkle. Mom looked gorgeous in all her outfits, which were borrowed from my studio wardrobe collection. Both of the pieces she chose were from Free People, which is where quite a few of my favorites dresses are from.
This baby is signed up for my First Year Collective, and I can’t wait to show you the rest of her photos from our year together. For now, here are some favorites from our maternity session.
